Accessibility

The Product Insights Panel and the Comprehensive Testing Report are built to meet WCAG 2.1 AA. That includes readable labels for screen readers, keyboard access, adequately sized touch targets, and clear indicators for links that open in a new tab. You can publish it with confidence that it meets common accessibility requirements.

What appears on the report

Every Comprehensive Testing Report includes, automatically:

  • Lab approval. "Results approved by" with the signature and title of the Light Labs Lab Director.

  • Accreditation. An ISO 17025 accredited lab badge.

  • A standard disclaimer in the footer:

    Results reflect laboratory analysis of submitted samples at the time of testing as reported by the testing laboratory. Results do not guarantee future performance, stability, or shelf life. Product labeling and regulatory compliance remain the responsibility of the brand.

You do not need to add any of this yourself. It is part of the report.

What you agree to when you publish

By publishing your results through the Product Insights Panel, you agree to a couple of things that protect both you and your shoppers:

  • Use the current version. Keep the current version of the Product Insights Panel in place. Because the embed stays current automatically, this usually requires nothing from you.

  • Publish results only for the product that was tested. Only show a result for a product that is identical in composition to the material that was tested to produce that result. If a product's formula changes, it needs new testing before those results represent it.

Result wording

Results use plain, factual language. For example, when nothing is found, a result reads "Not detected," meaning the substance is below detectable levels as defined by the third-party lab testing. The panel is designed to present results accurately rather than to make marketing claims on your behalf.
